Behind all the commotion throughout the  Tissue Paper Pom Poms  year, who’s that one trusted person we can always count on? Well I’ll give you a hint, it’s a three-letter word, she’s always there when you need her and even when you don’t. She’s that one person who knows you better than anyone, and can tell you all you need to know. Now I’ll give you one more hint, she loved you since the day you were born. If you guessed Mom, then you’re absolutely right. With Christmas just around the corner, it’s the best time of year to show her you’re appreciation. Here is a list of 10 gifts that will leave mom in awe. In some party straws  cakes the fruit is so artfully arranged that it is nice and easy to split the board into sections and you don’t have to worry about the darts falling to the floor, any decent fruit cake will be more than solid enough to hold that darts up!

Any block-shaped cake will be perfect for this and will keep the door just open enough. If it’s a proper fruitcake it will be so solid that not even the dog will want to eat it.

As you have no doubt experienced at some point, nothing is worse than opening a present that you don’t like, trying to hide the disappointment on your face is very difficult.

If you’re not quite sure what to get them, your best bet is to do a little homework to try and avoid dissatisfaction. If worst comes to worst the safest route to take is a simple paper straws gift card. It avoids the hassle of sneaking around asking awkward questions of people you may barely exchange two words with in order to find out the perfect gift.

Firstly, a great tip is to avoid buying mugs. Unless they are an avid mug collector, a person can only have so many mugs. No one wants mugs for everyday of the month, so please, help yourself out and avoid buying those.

Secondly, if the present you thought about getting is only average and you yourself wouldn’t like to receive it under any circumstances, chances are it’s probably not such a great idea to go ahead and purchase that item. Nothing is worse than buying something that does not relate to the person accepting it.

Lastly, do not buy so

mething your receiver already has. No one needs more than two of something unless they have an obsession or it is part of a collection. Why not introduce them to something new, give them something that they’ll love, and please avoid gift-giving blunders that will make you look like a fool.

he best part of this game is that it has no formal start time – it can start as your guests progressively arrive at the party!

This game is a great team-builder, or an excellent way for guests to release their competitive energy! In preparation, set up a table with a variety of craft supplies: glue, paper, scissors, aluminum foil, and other seasonal Christmas ornament decor.

Once the party has got going, split your guests into an appropriate number of teams (4-5 people per team). One member of each team must volunteer to be the Christmas Tree.

Set a timer for 15 minutes, and have your guests decorate their ‘human trees’! The best tree will, of course, be decided by the party host!

Stop by your local Dollar Store, and pick up a bunch of Santa hats/reindeer antlers from the Christmas aisle.

As your guests arrive, ask them to put on a hat but only take it off when they see you take yours off. Let your guests chat and get comfortable, and remove your hat when you think no one is looking. You’ll quickly see who has been paying attention, and who has been dipping into the   Christmas straws punch.

The last person to remove their hat is the loser! They get to initiate the next round of the game.
